Seattle Meet the Breeds

Jiggles gets some love

On March 10th and 11th the Chinook Club of America had a booth promoting the Chinook at the Seattle Kennel Club Dog show. The show draws thousands of people and several Chinook owners showed up to help man the booth and show off the breed. I am always so impressed with how the Chinooks handle thousands of people molesting them all day long with no complaint. The dogs do sleep like the dead when they get home though! It is very tiring to be so patient!!!
Ranger hang out in front of the booth.
One of the tables displayed magazines featuring Chinooks as well as many photographs of Chinooks past and present

Oooh! Do you have a treat for me?

We made sure to celebrate the working heritage of the breed. Not shown is the scooter I brought. I had to beg and plead to get them to let me bring it into the building. They were very strict on the NO WHEELS INSIDE THE BUILDING policy but finally gave in. The Frontier Chinook pack is always super well behaved and great ambassadors of the breed. Frontier Wild Wild West (James), Moonsong Delilah, and Frontier Akeena hang out and patiently wait for visitors to the booth

Channahon Kikiah's Tyee (Oscar) is admired by a show attendee

Oscar and puppy Koda help Marleen answer questions about the breed

Chili's turn to get some attention while Peter and Jiggles wait their turn

Chili butts in again and steals the love

It is a long day
